In partnership with Good Samaritan Ministries, the Community Housing Partnership Program provides transitional housing to homeless individuals and families in the community. Participants are provided with a variety of services, including financial counseling, advocacy, goal setting and problem solving, to address their barriers to obtaining stable, affordable housing.
Homeless families and individuals residing in Ottawa County are provided with affordable housing for up to 18 months. During that time, Community Action House works alongside the family or individual to provide substantial supportive services so that upon completion of the program participants are able to secure and maintain permanent, stable housing and be financially self-sufficient. Supportive services include: financial counseling, advocacy, service referral and follow-up, goal setting and problem solving, and weekly home visit meetings.
