Community Housing Partnership
The Community Housing Partnership program’s focus is to address and eliminate homelessness.
Homeless families and individuals residing in Ottawa County are provided with affordable housing for up to 18 months. During that time, Community Action House works alongside the family or individual to provide substantial supportive services so that upon completion of the program participants are able to secure and maintain permanent, stable housing and be financially self-sufficient. Supportive services include: financial counseling, advocacy, service referral and follow-up, goal setting and problem solving, and weekly home visit meetings.
Several clients who have graduated from the Community Housing Partnership have gone on to become home owners through the Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity program.
