Emergency Services provide for the immediate needs of community residents who are in crisis and unable to provide the essentials for daily living, including food and clothing.
Individuals and families accessing emergency services meet with a caseworker to identify available resources and services that can help them stabilize a financial crisis. Services are available free of charge based on current need and can be accessed at both north and south side locations. Emergency services include: Food, clothing, diapers and other baby items, baby food and formula, hygiene products and cleaning products.
MONTHLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION / QUARTERLY COMMODITIES
NEW SERVICE: Community Action House (CAH) will provide a monthly food distribution to all low-income households in our service area beginning in March of 2014. Eligibility is income-based, and households must provide picture ID and proof of address to access service. Households can come each time for the monthly distribution.
Emergency Services, including food, diapers, baby food and formula, hygiene and cleaning products are available on a walk-in basis, up to three times per calendar year. After the third walk-in visit, the household has the following options:
- Schedule a meeting with a case manager to review household finances and use of community
- Household is only eligible for the monthly food distribution.
