The Emergency Services program seeks to ensure that all individuals and families within its service area have access to basic resources, food, formula, diapers, clothing, cleaning supplies, hygiene products as well as some household items. Emergency Case Management

The specific goal of the Emergency Case Management program is to help individuals and families better understand and more effectively respond to their immediate emotional, physical, or financial crisis. The aim is that each client will reach their personal potential and become successful members of our community.

Emergency Food & Clothing

Groceries: Available free of charge to those in need at both our Northside & Southside locations. From canned goods to fresh bread, there is a ready supply of quality groceries to provide for daily meals.

Clothing & Personal Items: Our Southside location offers free clothing, ranging from shoes to belts, overcoats to baby items, and includes blankets and bedding as well. Used clothing is distributed to low income families free of charge.

Persons requesting assistance must show proof of residency within the program’s service area and participate in a needs assessment. The assessment is designed to verify the need for assistance, grant the caseworker permission to make available additional community services, and recommend specific options to eliminate the need and increased self-sufficiency.

MI Works

Eligbility: Anyone can access the MI Works resources which are available at both of our locations.

Services: The MI Works kiosks provide information on obtaining a GED, access to job listings, resume assistance and many other useful tools.

Support: The MI Works services are available at no cost at the following times:
