Our Mission
Community Action House is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by empowering families and individuals to self sufficiency.

Who We Are

Community Action House is a non-profit organization committed to breaking the cycle of poverty in Ottawa County and the Greater Holland Area. For over 37 years, feeding and clothing families, providing housing, and equipping community members with skills and resources to allow provision for sustainable living is what we live, breathe and sleep. Our ultimate goal for each family and individual is to lead them to a point of self sufficiency. This allows them to contribute their gifts, skills and resources to the rest of society in a meaningful and tangible way. We are committed to a healthy community, and believe in working closely with organizations that share our values. We have no desire to replicate what is already being done, but strive to make effective use of resources through collaborative projects.
Our organization is governed by a board of directors representing the local community, and we operate under the legal standards of 501-C3 tax exempt corporation.

If you require any further information please feel free to email us info@communityactionhouse.org.
