Personal Care Closet

Community Action House is dedicated to providing essential basic items for dignity. Our Personal Care Closet has seen unprecedented demand, and we are calling on our community to support our community with the following items: 

  • Toilet Paper

  • Toothpaste

  • Laundry Detergent

  • Body Wash

  • Dish Soap

  • Deodorant

  • Mouthwash

  • Cleaning Supplies (all-purpose cleaning spray)

  • Paper Towel

  • Kleenex

  • Baby Shampoo

  • Baby Wipes

Food Pantry

The CAH food pantry is client-choice, which means our clients are assisted through the pantry and select foods of their choice from shelf-stable and fresh vegetables, grains, proteins, fruits, etc. CAH strives to stock our pantry shelves with current non-expired food, much like a grocery store stocks its shelves. We especially appreciate your donations of current non-expired foods.


  • Spaghetti Sauce

  • Diced Tomatoes and Tomato Sauce (Low Sodium or No Salt Added Preferred)

  • Variety of Canned Vegetables (Low Sodium or No Salt Added Preferred)

  • Salsa


  • Canned Fruit (In 100% Juice)


  • Refried Beans

  • Canned Meat (Chicken w/ 140mg sodium or less per serving)

Dairy (Low Fat):

  • Boxed or Refrigerated Milk

  • Cheese

  • Yogurt


  • Whole Grain/High Fiber Cereal (No Added Sugar, i.e. Shredded Wheat)

  • Tortillas (Corn and/or Flour)

  • Oatmeal/Cream of Wheat

  • Brown Rice

  • Wheat Flour

  • 100% Whole Grain Pasta and Crackers

Miscellaneous Items:

  • Small Bottles of Cooking Oil (Olive, Canola, Vegetable, Coconut)

  • Baking Powder

  • Canned Soup (Low Sodium)
