Community Action House needs Your Help Friday, June 24th!

Monthly Food Distribution serves anywhere from 100-300 families towards the end of each month. Families who come to receive food will "shop around" the building, choosing the types of vegetables, protein, grains, etc. that they would prefer. Volunteers are needed to assist with keeping tables stocked, helping elderly or mobility impaired individuals carry their boxes/bags, and in general, to assist with the large volume of people coming through our doors. Distribution lasts from 2pm-4pm - we ask volunteers to arrive about half an hour before to review roles, sign in, and finish preparations.

In total, this monthly event serves families in our community that are either undergoing a temporary crisis, on limited fixed incomes, or are otherwise unable to meet their food needs.

• 10-12 volunteers needed - this is a great group volunteer opportunity!
• Accompanied children age 12 and up welcome
• Bottled water and snacks provided
