Home Buyer Education provides individuals and families with information about the home purchase process, including credit, affordability, taxes, real estate, home inspections, mortgages, and insurance. Participants may earn the certificate required to get a MSHDA mortgage or take advantage of the HOP grant.

Workshops include information shared by local professionals including mortgage lenders and realtors.  Community Action House Education Services staff are certified by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Workshops are open to all Allegan and Ottawa Country residents at no cost. To receive a certificate of completion, participants must attend all workshop sessions.
