Ways to Give: Help us make poverty history!
Your support is appreciated! Every gift is important and will be recognized with an acknowledgement and a gift receipt. Most importantly, your gift will help provide services and resources to residents that are struggling in our community.

Employer Matching Gift Programs
Many employers offer matching gift programs that will double or triple your contribution to Community Action House. Please contact your benefits office for more information.
Food and Personal Care Items
You may drop off nonperishable, unopened food goods and personal care items to any of our locations. Clothing may be donated at The General Store located at 694 Michigan Avenue. For more information please contact us at any of our locations.
Large In-Kind Donations
Large in-kind donations are always welcome. If you have large items or quantities we are happy to pick them up free of charge; however, days and times for this service are limited. Call (616) 594-5451, ext 144 between 9am and 6pm, Monday - Friday, or email to schedule a pick up.
Please note that large in-kind donations are only accepted at our General Store location.
Resale Store Donations
Our Resale Stores' primary mission is to financially support the programs of Community Action House. The proceeds generated by the resale of your donations allow CAH staff to spend more time doing what they do best: feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, preventing foreclosure and evictions, providing transitional housing, and offering educational classes to help build prosperity.
